In addition to basic options such as cropping and re-arranging clips, professional levels special effects can be added to your footage using the Particle Effects Designer. An expanded 16-track timeline is on hand to allow for greater flexibility with your projects and more scope for experimentation.
Standard definition video footage can be enhanced and improved by applying upscaling, while TrueTheater technology makes it possible to automatically improve scene lighting, colour levels and much more. There are thousands of free effects and templates available for download from the DirectorZone.
When authoring a disc PowerDirector includes a powerful menu editor which allow for incredible professional results. Completed video projects can also be uploaded to the likes of YouTube and Facebook as well as Cyberlink's own DirectorZone. Projects can also be exported ready for playback on a range of mobile devices such as iPods and PSPs. All of this is backed up by faster performance for rendering effects and transcoding videos, and vastly improved editing and previewing speeds.
The Ultra version of the program adds the ability to author Blu-ray discs and AVCHD on DVD as well as the option to use AVCHD on DVD as a capture source.
